Lincoln Speedway Loses Sunday POWRi Event Due To Weather

     (Lincoln, IL)  Lincoln Speedway somehow missed a couple of different waves of severe weather Sunday afternoon but at 2:30, Mother Nature’s wrath proved to be too much.  The POWRi Illinois SPEEDWEEK was canceled due to the rain with predictions for more during race time hours later.

 

     Scheduled to race were the POWRi Lucas Oil National Midget League, POWRi Speedway Motors Micro League, POWRi Lucas Oil Regional/Badger Midgets, Pro Late Models, and Modifieds.  The event will not be rescheduled as it was part of SPEEDWEEK.

 

     Next up for Lincoln Speedway is the WAR 410 wingless sprint cars, scheduled for this Friday, June 15.  In addition to the fan favorite division, four other classes will be in action including the Hornets in the $1,000 to win Ed Cain Trucking Hornet Challenge.  Pro Late Models, Nutech Seed DII Midgets By Bailey Chassis, and KidModz will also be in action.

 

     Pit gates will open Friday at 4:00, grandstands at 5:00, hotlaps are at 6:05, and racing will take the green at 7:00.
