Summernationals & All Star Sprints Among Special Dates Officials from Track Enterprises have released the first look at the 2016 schedule for Lincoln Speedway. The company took the reigns for promoting the ¼-mile facility during the offseason. This year will mark the 13th year of racing at the Logan County Fairgrounds in Lincoln, IL. At the top of this year’s can’t miss events are the UMP DIRTcar Summernationals and the first ever appearance for the Arctic Cat All Star Sprints. The Summernationals Hell Tour event will be on Sunday, July 3 and will feature the best in Super Late Model racing along with the Modified Summit Nationals and B-Mods. 2016 All Star Circuit of Champions Schedule Released May 20 Event At Lincoln Speedway, Only Illinois Appearance By Tyler Altmeyer All Star Circuit of Champions Indianapolis (November 19, 2015) – The All Star Circuit of Champions will move ahead into the 2016 season with a full slate of scheduled competition, with race dates ranging from early February until late October. This season, the series will visit Lincoln IL Speedway for the first time. The event is scheduled for Friday, May 20 and it will mark the only Illinois race for the series in 2016. “America’s Series” will headline 51 dates during the new year, visiting seven different states and nearly 30 different facilities along the east coast, Northeast and Midwest. Schedules Will Also Be Released At The Midwest Speed Expo Officials from Track Enterprises, the promotion company of Macon Speedway and Lincoln Speedway, have announced that the 2016 schedules will be released during the 13th Annual Midwest Speed Expo Trade Show and Swap Meet. In addition to the schedule release, officials will also hold an information meeting for drivers at the two tracks, in addition to Jacksonville Speedway, in the cafeteria located at the Illinois State Fair, Orr Building in Springfield. The Trade Show and Swap Meet will be open on Saturday, January 9 and Sunday, January 10 from 9:00 AM-3:00 PM each day with $7 admission for adults and free for children 10 and under. Twelve years after a dream of building a promoting a race track, race track owner/promoter Norm Horn is ready for days of relaxation and rest. On Thursday, September 3, an agreement was reached between Horn and Macon’s Bob Sargent to turn full operation of Lincoln Speedway over to Sargent’s Track Enterprises Inc. The move will align Sargent with two tracks close in proximity, Macon Speedway & Lincoln Speedway. Horn is excited to see the venue going to Track Enterprises. He feels that Sargent is a good fit to take over the daily operations of Lincoln Speedway, one that he spent so much time in grooming and shaping into what it is today.
