Great Racing In Recent Weeks At Lincoln Speedway

The last couple of shows at Lincoln Speedway have been top notch. Last night, we had 18 of the best Pro Late Model drivers and 18 of the best Modified drivers. The show was great! While we know the real fast cars don’t care a lot for the dice roll for an invert, last night proved why it can be a good thing.

First, Ray Bollinger, started from sixth because of the invert and quickly sliced and diced his way through the field to the impressive victory in the Modifieds. The battle for second was a fun one to watch for many laps but Bollinger easily had them covered.

Then in the Pro Lates, the veteran Guy Taylor led lap after lap as the battles throughout the field was fun to watch. Dakota Ewing, who started fifth, methodically raced his way toward the front. He got hooked up on the bottom lane and caught the leader with just a couple laps to go. Coming off of turn four for the checkered, Ewing had a great run and shot ahead to win by inches in one of the most exciting races of the year.

The Nutech Seed DII Midgets presented by Bailey Chassis had a great three car battle for the win with open wheel standout Korey Weyant taking the victory.

The B-Mods and Hornets had good shows as well with Steve Phillips and Eric Vanapeldoorn taking the wins in their respective classes.

There are only two remaining shows at Lincoln Speedway this year, August 17 with 410 non-wing sprints, Pro Lates, Modifieds, and DII Midgets and August 31 with the six division season championship show. Get out and support the Track, the drivers, and the teams as the season winds down. Truly deserving of it with the type of shows they have been putting out.
