March 4-6 Car Show To Kickstart Season (Macon, IL) Officials from Macon Speedway and Lincoln Speedway, as well as Hickory Point Mall in Forsyth, IL are pleased to announce the return of the season preview car show.  The show is set to return Friday, March 4-Sunday, March 6 after a two-year hiatus due to COVID-19. The car show is open to any regular competitors that race at Macon Speedway or Lincoln Speedway, as well as those from traveling series that compete at either of the tracks.  The show will be three days long with cars entering on Thursday, March 3 and exiting on Sunday, March 6 when Hickory Point Mall closes for business each of the two days. Big Ten Series To Also Celebrate At January 22 Event (Macon, IL) With the 2021 racing season in the rear-view mirror and drivers looking ahead to 2022, officials from the Track Enterprises office have announced the awards banquet date for Macon Speedway as well as Lincoln Speedway.  This year’s ceremony will include both tracks as well as the three Midwest Big Ten Series. The event will be held on Saturday, January 22, 2022 at the Decatur Conference Center & Hotel. On the Lincoln Speedway side, Jose Parga, of New Berlin, IL, took the Pro Late Model championship. In the Modified, Kewanee, IL driver Ray Bollinger won his first title at the speedway. Peoria, IL’s Mark McMahill took the top spot in the Simplot DII Midget class, while Erik Vanapeldoorn, of Clinton, IL, garnered the Hornet championship. Gossum and Heck sweep while Unzicker wins after late arrival, Hamilton gets redemption Lincoln Speedway saw a display of dominance in Saturday night’s DIRTcar Fall Nationals finale by some of DIRTcar’s brightest stars and up-and-coming weekly racers. Five divisions took to the quarter-mile oval in search of a coveted Fall Nationals trophy. Lincoln Speedway in Lincoln, IL, is set to crown five DIRTcar National points champions as host of the 2021 DIRTcar Fall Nationals, September 30-October 2. The DIRTcar Late Models, UMP Modifieds, Pro Late Models, Pro Modifieds, Stock Cars and Sport Compacts are all scheduled to compete. The DIRTcar Fall Nationals were first held at Lincoln Speedway in October of 2020 where a great field of cars put on an outstanding show.
