Super Late Models Heading To Lincoln Speedway

Friday’s Race Is One Of Two Visits This Season

After a very successful season opener this past Friday, April 15, Lincoln Speedway is ready to step up the excitement even more this Friday, April 22.  On tap are the Super Late Models of the Midwest Big Ten Series.  It will mark one of just two visits this season from the Supers, with the other being the July 3 Summernationals/World Of Outlaws showdown.

For the Midwest Big Ten Series, this will be the second event of 2016.  The first was at Belle-Clair Speedway on April 1, where over 25 Super Late Model competitors were on hand.  Taking the win that night was Chad Zobrist, while Michael Kloos, Andrew Johns, Brian Diveley, and Richard Frost finished off the top five.  Diveley will be one of the favorites this week, as he looks to defend his 2015 Big Ten championship and claim Friday’s $1,500 top prize.

Friday night will also mark the season opener for the Midwest Big Ten Street Stocks.  Opening night at Lincoln last week had a solid field of Street Stocks competing for a regular night of racing so this Friday should have a stacked field of good racers going for the $500 top prize.  The Big Ten Street Stocks ran once at Lincoln last season with Terry Miller claiming the win.  Miller was followed by John Farris, Brian Gaines, series champion Terry Reed, and Jeffery Reed, Jr.

In addition to the two Big Ten Classes, the Stock Car Spectacular will have Modifieds, Sportsman, and Hornets on the card.

Pit gates open Friday at 4:00, grandstands at 5:00, pill draw ends at 6:00, hotlaps begin at 6:20, and racing will take the green shortly after 7:00.  Grandstand admission is $15 for adults and free for kids 11 and under.
