Lincoln Speedway owners, Norm and Yvonne Horn, are excited to announce they will be giving away a 1995 four door 2.0 SOHC 5 speed race ready Neon at the end of the 2012 racing season. In order to qualify to win you will need to race 75% of the scheduled events for the Sport Compacts class at Lincoln Speedway in 2012. The winner will be announced by a drawing at the Lincoln Speedway banquet and you must be present to win. Only Sport Compact drivers are eligible to win. Norm and Yvonne would like to thank Decatur Used Cars for preparing the car.

Keeping the Fun in Racing!!! Lincoln Speedway invites everyone out to their Practice Days, Sunday April 1st and Saturday April 7th from 12:00 pm – 5pm. Admission is free for the grandstands, and $20 for a Pit Pass. Racing action will start on Friday April 13th with a full show. Mark your calendars, you won’t want to miss the racing action on Friday April 20th, when the MOWA Sprint Series return to Lincoln Speedway. Lincoln Speedway will be racing on Friday Nights; regular show consists of the following classes: UMP Street Stocks, UMP E-Mods, UMP Modifieds, UMP Pro Late Models and UMP Compacts. Korey Weyant emerged victorious in the 25-lap feature Friday night with the Monster Energy™ Sprint Car Series at the Lincoln Speedway in Lincoln, Illinois. The Springfield, Illinois driver was in Rick Northrop’s #83 Schnee chassis powered by Ford. It was his first winged sprint car win, and Northrop’s first in eleven years, when Dave Feese was the driver. Jim Moughan Jr. asserted himself by leading from the pole position early in the main event. Utilizing the low side, Moughan kept the Moughan Builders #1m up front for the first half of the race. Brandon Sheppard finally achieved his goal of winning a DIRTcar Summer Nationals Hell Tour event, taking the checkered flag Sunday night at Lincoln Speedway. Sheppard of New Berlin, Ill., used a lap three restart to claim the lead from fellow front row starter Bobby Pierce of Oakwood, Ill. He then held off current ‘Hell Tour’ point leader Shannon Babb of Moweaqua, Ill., over the last half of the event to claim the win worth $5,000. The victory is the 18-year-old driver’s first after following the tour full-time since the 2009 season.
