Officials Set Informational Meeting For January 10

Schedules Will Also Be Released At The Midwest Speed Expo Officials from Track Enterprises, the promotion company of Macon Speedway and Lincoln Speedway, have announced that the 2016 schedules will be released during the 13th Annual Midwest Speed Expo Trade Show and Swap Meet. In addition to the schedule release, officials will also hold an information meeting for drivers at the two tracks, in addition to Jacksonville Speedway, in the cafeteria located at the Illinois State Fair, Orr Building in Springfield. The Trade Show and Swap Meet will be open on Saturday, January 9 and Sunday, January 10 from 9:00 AM-3:00 PM each day with $7 admission for adults and free for children 10 and …

Lincoln Speedway changes hands!

Twelve years after a dream of building a promoting a race track, race track owner/promoter Norm Horn is ready for days of relaxation and rest.  On Thursday, September 3, an agreement was reached between Horn and Macon’s Bob Sargent to turn full operation of Lincoln Speedway over to  Sargent’s Track Enterprises Inc.  The move will align Sargent with two tracks close in proximity, Macon Speedway & Lincoln Speedway. Horn is excited to see the venue going to Track Enterprises.  He feels that Sargent is a good fit to take over the daily operations of Lincoln Speedway, one that he spent so much time in grooming and shaping into what it is today. KIDS NIGHT AND CANDY SCRAMBLE HIGHLIGHT THIS FRIDAY

On the heels of two exciting weeks of racing to open up the new season at Lincoln Speedway, the third week of excitement lies just around the corner. And this Friday night, it’s all about the Kids. Friday night April 24 marks the first of four ‘Krazy Kids Nights’ at Lincoln Speedway and includes a Kids Candy Scramble at Intermission. The Candy Scramble is set to happen at Intermission, with Kids 10 and under being invited onto the track’s front stretch. Midwest Championship Weekend Hits Lincoln Speedway This Friday October 10th

The Midwest Big Ten Series Late Model season finishes with a bang Friday, Oct. 10 at Lincoln (Ill.) Speedway, when the championship fight is combined with action from MOWA sprint cars and POWRi midgets for an amazing tripleheader during the final weekend of dirt tracking in Central Illinois.  Also in action will be DIRTcar Street Stocks racing for $350 to win. Ryan Little, of Pleasant Plains, leads the Big Ten Series points standings heading into the final event of the season. Greg Kimmons, of Pleasant Plains, stands second in the season-long fight. Big Ten Late Models and More Friday October 3rd

The Midwest Big 10 Late Model Series wraps-up its season this Friday night at Lincoln Speedway with the season points championship on the line for the super late models.  Also on tap are UMP Modifieds, Street Stocks, Hornets and Lightning Sprints.   Hot laps start at 6:30 with racing at 7:00.   Adult admission is $15.  Ages 11-18 $7 and kids 10 and under Free.
