(Lincoln, IL) Morning rain showers mixed with an unfavorable forecast for the rest of the day has led to the cancellation of the Friday, July 15 Built Ford Tough MOWA Sprint Car event at Lincoln Speedway. Four other divisions were also scheduled to race. MOWA is scheduled to return to the ¼-mile dirt track on Friday, August 19 as part of the State Fair race weekend which begins at Lincoln Speedway on Friday night, followed by Illinois State Fair racing on Saturday afternoon featuring the USAC Silver Crown cars. Macon Speedway will host a POWRi Midget event on Saturday night of that weekend before the Sunday afternoon ARCA Menards Series Atlas 100. July 11, 2022 (Jacksonville, IL) – The Morrow Brothers Ford, Inc. MOWA Sprint Car Series will make their first of two visits to the Lincoln Speedway in Lincoln, Illinois this Friday, July 15. It will be the 16th-career visit to the ¼ mile oval for the 410 Sprint Car series. Four other divisions will also race. 11 total drivers have visited Victory Lane with the Morrow Brothers Ford MOWA Sprint Car Series at Lincoln, in 15 attempts. Rico Abreu and Paul Nienhiser are the only two drivers to have won more than a single #MOWASprints A-Main at Lincoln, with each having three wins. (Lincoln, IL) The DIRTcar Summer National stars are set for their annual appearance at Lincoln Speedway this coming Sunday, July 3. The ¼-mile track, located at the Logan County Fairgrounds in Lincoln, IL, will play host to Super Late Models, Modifieds, and 305 Sprint Cars at the holiday weekend special. Oakwood, IL driver, Bobby Pierce, leads the Summer National championship standings during the third week of action. Pierce, who has Lincoln Summer National wins in 2013 and 2018, has claimed three wins on the tour this season. Chatham, IL driver, Brian Shirley, who has won three Summer National races at Lincoln Speedway, is second in this year’s standings, trailing Pierce by 72.
