MOWA SPRINTS INVADE LINCOLN FOR “NIGHT BEFORE THE MILE” ACTION

August 16, 2022 (Lincoln, IL) – After losing an earlier season event scheduled at Lincoln Speedway to rain, the Morrow Brothers Ford MOWA Sprint Car Series will return to the ¼-mile at the Logan County Fairgrounds this Friday, August 19, 2022. It’s all part of a huge weekend of racing in Central Illinois. In 15 events contested at Lincoln Speedway, 11 drivers have won events with the #MOWASprints. Fan favorites, Rico Abreu and Paul Nienhiser each have three MOWA Sprint Car Series wins at Lincoln. Other drivers to win events at Lincoln include AJ Bruns, Carson Macedo, Christopher Bell, Ian Madsen, Jake Neuman, Jerrod Hull, Jimmy Hurley, Korey Weyant and Willie Croft. Hometown driver Cory Bruns finished 3rd at Macon Speedway on July 30, the last event held for the series. July 15th Event Canceled

(Lincoln, IL) Morning rain showers mixed with an unfavorable forecast for the rest of the day has led to the cancellation of the Friday, July 15 Built Ford Tough MOWA Sprint Car event at Lincoln Speedway. Four other divisions were also scheduled to race. MOWA is scheduled to return to the ¼-mile dirt track on Friday, August 19 as part of the State Fair race weekend which begins at Lincoln Speedway on Friday night, followed by Illinois State Fair racing on Saturday afternoon featuring the USAC Silver Crown cars. Macon Speedway will host a POWRi Midget event on Saturday night of that weekend before the Sunday afternoon ARCA Menards Series Atlas 100. Lincoln Speedway Test Set For Sunday Still A Go

(Macon, IL) Macon Speedway officials have announced that the opening test-and-tune, scheduled for Saturday, March 26, has been postponed due to wet grounds from this week’s weather. Test-and-tune set for Sunday, March 27 at Lincoln Speedway will be held as scheduled with an extra day of drying time that will help the process.   Sunday’s opening test at Lincoln Speedway will have pits opening at 11:00 AM and on track activity from 12:00-4:00 PM. Pit admission is $25, while kids 11 and under are $10. Grandstand admission is free. All divisions of race cars are welcome.   Macon Speedway will now hold its first test-and-tune next Saturday, April 2 from 12:00-4:00 PM. MOWA Sprint Cars Return To Lincoln Speedway Friday Night

(Lincoln, IL) One of the most popular events on the Lincoln Speedway schedule, each season, is coming up this Friday night, August 20, when the Morrow Brothers Ford MOWA Sprint Cars come to town. Five other divisions will also race. The MOWA 410 cubic inch winged sprint cars have had four events so far this season, while weather has wreaked havoc on several other events. Ayrton Gennetten bested a field of 28 cars in the season opener at Tri-City Speedway in Granite City, IL. Gennetten came right back in the second event of the season at Lee County Speedway to start his season two-for-two. The most recent events were at Jacksonville Speedway with Paul Nienhiser and Brandon Hanks claiming the checkered flags.
