Central Illinois Race Tracks Cancel Test-And-Tune Events

(Macon, IL) With the current stay-at-home order aimed at stopping the spread of COVID-19, test-and-tune events scheduled for this weekend at Macon Speedway and Lincoln Speedway have been canceled.  The tests were set for Saturday, March 28 at Macon Speedway and Sunday, March 29 at Lincoln Speedway. Officials from the tracks have been following news, regarding current health issues with COVID-19, very closely as it changes day-to-day and by the minute. Officials will continue to monitor the situation closely with government and public health officials to determine what adjustments to make as the time comes, in regards to other upcoming events. Statement From Lincoln (IL) Speedway…

Lincoln Speedway officials have been monitoring the health issues with COVID-19, as they change from day-to-day and minute-by-minute.  At this time, we have had to cancel our annual Hickory Point Mall car show.  We will continue to monitor the situation closely with government and public health officials to determine what adjustments to make to our schedules as the days proceed. We are currently moving forward with our plans for test and tune events with Macon Speedway on Saturday, March 28 and Lincoln Speedway Sunday, March 29.  Then the following weekend, test and tune dates are scheduled for Saturday, April 4 at Lincoln Speedway and Sunday, April 5 at Macon Speedway.  We will have procedures in place for teams to park far from each other and will not allow fans in the stands. 2020 Schedule Includes DIRTcar Fall Nationals!

Over the weekend, we were thrilled to announce that we are the home of the 2020 DIRTcar Fall Nationals, October 1-3, 2020. This is a huge event for Lincoln Speedway as well as all the surrounding community!   We know our drivers are pumped up about it and we feel that Lincoln Speedway is a great place for it. From Hornets all the way up to Super Late Models, Lincoln Speedway is the perfect size track to fit all classes. Not too big, not too small, just right and centrally located for all involved.   We are still working on finalizing the details as far as daily schedules, purses, etc. Those should be coming out soon.   The full 2020 schedule for Lincoln Speedway is also out. While it’s still tentative and subject to change, we don’t foresee any major changes to dates, etc.

Macon Speedway & Lincoln Speedway Announce Off-Season & Early 2020 Season Dates

(Macon, IL) Racing officials at Macon Speedway as well as Lincoln Speedway have announced important off-season dates as well as the season opening dates for each track.   For Lincoln Speedway, 2020 will be the 17th season of racing at the Logan County Fairground track.  At Macon Speedway, 2020 will be an extra special year, as it’s the 75th season of racing.  Season opening weekend will be Friday and Saturday, April 10-11. The awards banquet, celebrating champions and other top drivers from 2019, will be held on Saturday, February 1, 2020 at the Decatur Conference Center and Hotel in Decatur, IL.  Full details and ticket availability will be released in the coming weeks. Rico Races To MOWA Win At Lincoln Speedway

(Lincoln, IL) It was an absolutely picture perfect Friday night in Central Illinois the one and only visit of the Built Ford Tough MOWA Sprint Cars presented by Morrow Brothers at Lincoln Speedway.  The pits were packed, on Lincoln Courier night, with five divisions of racing and the fans saw a good show throughout the evening. 27 winged warriors of the Built Ford Tough MOWA Sprint Cars filled the pits with 22 stars making the A-Main event.  Fan favorites, Rico Abreu and Parker Price-Miller raced to the front of the 25-lap A-Main event with Abreu holding a pretty wheel.  Price-Miller wasn’t far behind, however, just waiting for a mistake to be made.  As the laps wound down, Abreu had his hands full, working heavy lapped traffic with Price-Miller hot on his heels.  In fact, a couple of times, Price-Miller edged ahead for the lead.  The race went green until the …

Final Weekend Of Testing Before Season Starts At Central IL Tracks

Macon Speedway & Lincoln Speedway Have Testing Scheduled (Macon, IL) The 2019 racing season is just about to go green on Macon Speedway in Macon, IL as well as Lincoln Speedway in Lincoln, IL.  For teams and drivers, this will be the final weekend of testing before the season opens up next week. On Saturday, April 6, Macon Speedway will be opening the pits at 11:00 AM with on track testing from 12:00-4:00 PM.  Drivers from all divisions that compete during the season at the track are invited to attend.  Pit admission is $20, while grandstand admission is free. On Sunday, April 7, Lincoln Speedway has a testing session scheduled from 3:30-7:00 PM with pits opening at 2:30.  Much like Macon, the practice is open to all divisions that compete during the course of the season at the track.  Pit admission is also $20 per person, while grandstands are free.
