This Friday’s Season Championship Night Features Six Classes It’s hard to believe but just one night remains on the 2016-schedule at Lincoln IL Speedway and it’s coming up this Friday, September 2.  The season championship finale will be a great night for fans to bring their whole family, friends, neighbors, and more, as admission through the front gate is just $5 per person.  Fans will see a full six division show plus kids will receive goody bags. Lincoln Speedway attempted a similar $5 fan appreciation night for August 12 but the event was rained out.  For that event, fans had to pick up vouchers from area businesses to receive the reduced admission.  At this week’s event, the vouchers are not necessary to receive the reduced admission.  The $5 admission night this Friday is to give fans thanks for their support during the first season of Track Enterprises promotions at the …

National Midgets To Be Joined By National Micros The POWRi Lucas Oil National Midgets are set for the traditional doubleheader of racing, this coming Friday and Saturday, August 19/20.  Fans will be flocking to Lincoln Speedway on Friday night and Macon Speedway on Saturday night, many of which will make it a full weekend of racing by also attending the Illinois State Fair events in Springfield on Saturday and Sunday. Craziness will begin on Friday night at the friendly confines of Lincoln IL Speedway at the Logan County Fairgrounds.  There, the POWRi Lucas Oil National Midgets, POWRi Speedway Motors Micros, UMP Pro Late Models, and UMP Modifieds will be pacing the 1/4-mile semi banked dirt oval. Top Three Bonus Point Fund Announced For This Weekend One of the most exciting divisions at Lincoln and Macon Speedways will be getting a boost to its start money this weekend, paying $100 to start the event.  In addition, the class will see a top three bonus on the line for the top point collectors for this weekend’s doubleheader. This season, the class has seen solid car counts at Lincoln Speedway on Friday nights but Track Enterprises officials are looking for those to carry over on Saturday nights at Macon as well.  Friday and Saturday have great events scheduled with the POWRi Midgets and Micros both nights as well as the Pro Late Models.  Lincoln’s program Friday will include Modifieds, while Macon’s will have Big Ten Street Stocks and Hornets. Weather Forces August 12 Cancellation At Lincoln IL Speedway Lincoln IL Speedway officials waited and waited, in hopes of running the Friday, August 12 program at the ¼-mile racetrack.  Despite dry conditions all afternoon, everyone in Lincoln, IL could see lightning off to the north and west for about three hours as rain slowly approached.  Eventually, rainfall hit the track just before 5:30, forcing the cancellation of the event. Scheduled to be on hand were the Midwest Big Ten Pro Late Models and Street Stocks, in addition to the Modifieds, Hornets, and the POWRi/Illini D-II Midgets presented by Nutech Seed. The event was billed as Fan Appreciation and Kids Night, featuring numerous $5 vouchers passed out in the area for fans to take in a night of racing for just $5.  Due to the rainout, those vouchers will now be good for $2 off on the August 19 POWRi night …
