The DIRTcar Summer Nationals Late Models and Summit Racing Equipment Modified Nationals Features that were cut short by rain on Sunday, June 30, at Lincoln Speedway are set to be run this coming Thursday, July 25. In addition to the make-up events, a full new program of DIRTcar Pro Mods and Street Stocks are on tap. An on-track autograph session will take place at 7:00. 16 laps of the 40 lap Graue Chevrolet Showdown for the Summer National Super Late Models have been completed. That race will pick up where it left off with Springfield, IL driver Brian Shirley in the lead. Brandon Sheppard was running second with Billy Moyer, Shannon Babb, and Dennis Erb completing the top five. 16 drivers were on the lead lap with one additional driver just one lap down. Racing action on Sunday, July 21 has been canceled due to weather.  Rainfall hit, for about the third time, just as cars were preparing for hotlaps.  Six divisions of racing were on tap at the Central Illinois Motorsports Nostalgia Reunion show.  Fans and pit attendees are asked to hang onto their armbands to use at a future event.  Information on rescheduling the 305 Sprint Cars & Big Ten events will be coming soon. Up next for Lincoln Speedway is the Summer Nationals makeup this Thursday, July 25.  The final 24 laps of the Super Late Model feature will be completed in addition to the Summit Modified National 30 lap feature.  Full new programs for DIRTcar Pro Mods and Street Stocks will also be on the card.  Fans and competitors can use their wristbands from the June 30 event for entry Thursday.  For those who don’t have bands, grandstand admission will …

IT IS Central Illinois Motorsports Nostalgia Reunion RACE DAY AT Lincoln Speedway Lincoln Speedway, with a lot of help from organizer Terry Young, will be hosting the Central Illinois Motorsports Nostalgia Night, featuring Macon and Springfield Speedways, this coming Sunday, July 21. A racing reunion, free and open to anyone, will be held from 12:00-5:00, before on track activities begin. Following the reunion, six divisions of racing action will be on track in an event presented by US92.7 Superstar Country. At the reunion, vintage race cars will be on display with plenty of old photo displays, a driver meet and greet, fun, prizes, and more. Food and drink will be on sale as well, inside of the pavilion outside of turn one where the reunion is held. A full 6 division racing program will be held after the reunion with a great mix of open wheel racing and stock car racing. The best of both …

(Lincoln, IL) It was an absolutely picture perfect Friday night in Central Illinois the one and only visit of the Built Ford Tough MOWA Sprint Cars presented by Morrow Brothers at Lincoln Speedway.  The pits were packed, on Lincoln Courier night, with five divisions of racing and the fans saw a good show throughout the evening. 27 winged warriors of the Built Ford Tough MOWA Sprint Cars filled the pits with 22 stars making the A-Main event.  Fan favorites, Rico Abreu and Parker Price-Miller raced to the front of the 25-lap A-Main event with Abreu holding a pretty wheel.  Price-Miller wasn’t far behind, however, just waiting for a mistake to be made.  As the laps wound down, Abreu had his hands full, working heavy lapped traffic with Price-Miller hot on his heels.  In fact, a couple of times, Price-Miller edged ahead for the lead.  The race went green until the …
