Hampton & Holiday Inn Express Continue Racer Rates For Lincoln Speedway

Officials from Lincoln Speedway in Lincoln, IL have again come to agreement with Hotel Ventures Management to name two host hotels for the 2019 season at the 1/4-mile facility.  For the fourth straight season, drivers, team members, and fans will have the opportunity to save on rooms at the Hampton Inn as well as the Holiday Inn Express when traveling to the Lincoln speedplant. The Hampton by Hilton is located just two miles from the Logan County Fairgrounds, where Lincoln Speedway is located.  The hotel features an all new lobby and treat Shop, indoor swimming pool and whirlpool, hot free breakfast buffet, free WiFi, and much more. All guestrooms will offer a refrigerator and microwave. Lincoln Speedway Test and Tune Canceled Due To Weather

(Lincoln, IL) Overnight and Sunday morning rainfall has forced the cancellation of the first Lincoln Speedway test and tune of 2019.  Rainfall moved into Central Illinois late Saturday evening, with several waves of precipitation. As of early Sunday morning, on track activities were still possible, however more rainfall hit shortly thereafter, saturating the grounds.  One more preseason test and tune is scheduled for the facility on Saturday, March 30.  The event will be held from 12:00-4:00 PM with pits opening at 11:00 AM. Pit admission will be $20 with grandstands free.  Lincoln Speedway’s sister track, Macon Speedway, had its first test and tune on Saturday with a strong 32 participants on track. Two additional Macon tests remain on Sunday, March 31 and Saturday, April 6. Test & Tune Days Next For Central Illinois Race Tracks

Macon Speedway & Lincoln Speedway Set For Weekend Practice   (Macon, IL) After a successful Hickory Point Mall Race Car Show this past weekend, drivers in Central Illinois are getting set for their first on track activity, Saturday and Sunday, March 23-24, with test and tune days at Macon Speedway and Lincoln Speedway. Drivers and teams use the days to fine tune their cars, fill out their registration sheets, and get comfortable back behind the wheel after a long winter.   Macon Speedway will open the pits this Saturday, March 23 at 11:00 AM and have cars on track from 12:00 noon to 4:00 PM. MOWA 410 Winged Sprint Cars Ready For Final 2018 Lincoln Speedway Appearance

High Flying Cars Joined By Three Classes Of Racing (Lincoln, IL) In a short turnaround between races, the Built Ford Tough MOWA 410 Winged Sprint cars are set to be the highlight of a Friday night, July 13 show at Lincoln Speedway.  Filling out the Lincoln Courier night classes will be the Midwest Big Ten Series Pro Late Models, Modifieds, and Nutech Seed DII Midgets By Bailey Chassis. ​Sprint Cars Making First 2018 Lincoln Speedway Visit On Friday Night

Modifieds Running A 50-Lap Special                 (Lincoln, IL) This coming Friday, June 1, Lincoln Speedway will have a huge event featuring the Built Ford Tough 410 MOWA Sprint Cars, a 50-lap Modified special, Pro Late Models, and a combo event between the Midwest Street Stock Championship and Big Ten Street Stocks.  The Friday affair definitely has a little something for everyone.                 The DIRTcar Modifieds will co-headline the event with the Sprint cars and will run a 50-lap feature paying $1,500 to win.  The Modifieds always draw great fields of cars to Lincoln Speedway and with the additional pay, Friday should see a stellar field and a great race.  Currently, last year’s champion, Brandon Roberts, of Ashland, IL, leads the points after claiming last weekend’s feature event.  Perennial favorite, Brian Lynn, of Mason City and his son, Austin, are tied for second spot in the standings.  Mike Brooks and Jimmy Sinkhorn complete the top five.                 The Built …
