MOWA Sprint Cars To Open 2020 Season Friday Night At Lincoln Speedway

Rico Abreu Looking For Second Straight Win At Track (Lincoln, IL) After a long wait, the Built Ford Tough MOWA Sprint Cars presented by Morrow Brothers are finally ready to get their 2020 season underway. The popular tour will race for the first time in 2020, this Friday, July 17 at Lincoln Speedway, in Lincoln, IL. The track’s weekly classes will also be in action. Last season, Paul Nienhiser claimed the point championship for the MOWA Sprints, while Lincoln, IL’s Cory Bruns was second in the standings. Kyle Schuett, Jacob Patton, and Jeremy Standridge were the rest of the top five in points. At the 2019 Lincoln Speedway event, popular sprint car driver, Rico Abreu, claimed the win, while Parker Price-Miller, Jason Keith, Jordan Goldesberry, and Austin McCarl rounded out the top five. 27 drivers were on hand. Ewing & Diveley Among Top Lincoln Speedway Winners Friday

(Lincoln, IL) For the fifth Friday night in-a-row, entertainment was on center stage at the Logan County Fairgrounds ¼-mile dirt track, Lincoln Speedway. Another strong turnout of cars put on a great show for the fans in the stands. The most exciting feature of the night came from the DIRTcar Pro Late Models. 17 drivers took the green flag with Jose Parga leading the way for the early laps. Teammate Dakota Ewing was pressuring up front and took the lead away on lap five. Parga ran in the top five until he spun while trying to pass a lap car in turn one, on lap eleven. Back to green, it was Ewing and Brandon Eskew putting on some top notch entertainment at the front of the pack. Slidejob after slidejob, the two drivers were racing hard for the lead. We are off to a great start for the 2020 racing season. After the first four events were canceled due to COVID-19, speedway officials decided to run every week, for the first six Fridays, to make up what was lost. The decision has worked out nicely as great fields of cars, solid crowds, and great racing has been a mainstay. It all continues this tonight with five divisions of action. Five Racing Divisions Set To Entertain Fans Friday Night At Lincoln Speedway

MOWA Sprints To Open Season July 17/18 With Lincoln/Macon Doubleheader

(Jacksonville, IL) The Built Ford Tough MOWA 410 Winged Sprint Cars should be about ½-way through their 2020 campaign right now. However, COVID-19 took over and caused a major delay that is about to end with the 2020 season opening weekend, Friday and Saturday, July 17/18 at two Central Illinois racetracks.   Lincoln Speedway, located at the Logan County Fairgrounds, in Lincoln, IL, will be the site of the season opener on Friday, July 17. The date was actually on the original schedule but will now serve as opening night for the popular series. DIRTcar Pro Late Models, Modifieds, Nutech Seed DII Midgets, and Hornets will also race.   Event #2 of the doubleheader weekend will be held at another Track Enterprises facility, Macon Speedway on Saturday, July 18. Lynn, Johnson, Eskew, & Vanapeldoorn Claim Holiday Wins At Lincoln Speedway

(Lincoln, IL) For the fourth night in a row, Lincoln Speedway was back at it for racing action at Logan County Fairgrounds. The July 3rd event featured not only racing but fireworks as well and neither disappointed. The open competition Midgets were on hand for the first time in 2020. Drivers from six different states were represented, with Emerson Axsom of Franklin, IN leading the first six laps. On lap seven, St. Peters, MO driver Sam Johnson moved into the top spot to pace the field in the 20-lap event. The three car battle at the front of the field also included Central Illinois driver, Jake Neuman. The last ten laps of the race went without a caution flag and Johnson raced to the victory.  Axsom, Neuman, Mitchell Davis, and Kyle Simon completed the top five. The show of the night arguably came in the 20-lap DIRTcar Modified feature event. …
