Lincoln Speedway Top Competitors to be Honored at Fall Nationals

Friday, October 18 Post Race Party Announced

(Lincoln, IL) Lincoln Speedway officials will honor the top five point finishers in the DIRTcar Pro Late Model and Modified division track standings at this year’s DIRTcar Fall Nationals, which is set for Thursday-Saturday, October 17-19.

Trophies and checks for the two staple classes will be handed out in front of the grandstands on Friday night, October 18 during the intermission break. A post-race champion’s party will again be held after Friday night’s racing, featuring popular Central Illinois band, Lady Luck. There will be no charge to attend the party and all are welcome.

Taylorville, IL driver Braden Johnson claimed his second straight Pro Late Model championship at the track, taking a feature win and six top fives in six starts. Brandon Sweitzer, Blaise Baker, Curtis Eller, and Jacob Doolen rounded out the top five.

In the Modified class, Riverton, IL’s Tim Luttrell claimed his first Lincoln Speedway track championship, taking one feature win and six top fives in eight starts. Mike Brooks, Jared Thomas, Brian Lynn, and Jeff Graham rounded out the top five.

The Fall National weekend begins on Thursday, October 17 with optional practice. Pits open on Thursday at 4:00 PM with practice beginning at 6:30 PM. At least three rounds of practice will be held.

On Friday, October 18, DIRTcar Late Models, Modifieds, Pro Late Models, and Pro Modifieds will be racing a full program of hotlap/qualifying, heats, last chances, and features. Pit gates open on Friday at 3:00 PM, grandstands at 5:00 PM, hotlap/qualifying is at 6:00 PM, and racing will go green at 7:00 PM. At intermission, Lincoln’s top five Pro Late and Modified drivers will receive their season awards and following the races, the post-race party is back featuring live band, Lady Luck.

Saturday, October 19 will feature full programs for all four classes that were in action Friday, in addition to the Stock Car class, which is Saturday only. Pit gates Saturday open at 2:00 PM, grandstands at 3:00 PM, hotlaps begin at 5:00 PM, and racing will take the green at 6:00 PM.

Late Model, Pro Late Model, UMP Modified, and Pro Modified teams who pre-enter for the DIRTcar Fall Nationals by October 16 will receive a discount on their entry fee.
