Powerful WAR Sprint Cars Coming To Lincoln Speedway Friday

Five Classes Of Racing Also Includes Hornet Challenge                 (Lincoln, IL) After a rainout last Sunday night, Lincoln Speedway is amped up and ready to go for a big night of racing this Friday, June 15.  The POWRi/WAR Lucas Oil 410 Sprint car series will be making its only visit in 2018 to the ¼-mile dirt oval.  It addition to the five divisions of racing, Charron’s Auto Repair will be honoring the Fallen Heroes with a special prerace ceremony and more.  The night will be capped off by the $1,000 to win Hornet Challenge.                 Co-headlining Friday’s show will be the powerful 410 Sprint cars of the POWRi/WAR Lucas Oil Wildcard Series.  WAR Wildcard debuted …

Lincoln Speedway Loses Sunday POWRi Event Due To Weather

     (Lincoln, IL)  Lincoln Speedway somehow missed a couple of different waves of severe weather Sunday afternoon but at 2:30, Mother Nature’s wrath proved to be too much.  The POWRi Illinois SPEEDWEEK was canceled due to the rain with predictions for more during race time hours later.        Scheduled to race were the POWRi Lucas Oil National Midget League, POWRi Speedway Motors Micro League, POWRi Lucas Oil Regional/Badger Midgets, Pro Late Models, and Modifieds.  The event will not be rescheduled as it was part of SPEEDWEEK.        Next up for Lincoln Speedway is the WAR 410 wingless sprint cars, scheduled for this Friday, June 15.  In addition to the fan …

Midgets Lead Five Action Packed Divisions To Lincoln Speedway Sunday

Lincoln Speedway Saturday Make-Up Race Provides Great Action

            (Lincoln, IL) It was a quick turnaround for a make-up date, as Lincoln Speedway was in action this past Saturday, May 26.  The event was not originally on the schedule, but was announced as a replacement for last weekend’s partial rainout.  Despite the short notice, a strong field of cars, including 19 Midwest Big Ten Super Late Models, was on track for some great action.             In the Midwest Big Ten DIRTcar Super Late Models, Fairview Heights, IL driver, Daryn Klein, had himself a nice night.  After setting the fastest time in qualifications, Klein won the first of three heat races to put himself on the pole for the 25-lap feature event.  Klein jumped out front early in the race but …
