Racecars Set To Return To Hickory Point Mall

March 17-19 Car Show To Kickstart Season (Macon, IL 02-28-17) Officials from Macon Speedway as well as Hickory Point Mall in Forsyth, IL are pleased to announce the return of the season preview car show.  Formerly an annual event, the show’s return took place last year after a long hiatus.  The event is scheduled for March 17-19. The car show is open to any regular competitors that race at Macon Speedway or Lincoln Speedway, as well as those from traveling series that compete at either of the tracks.  The show will be three days long with cars entering on Thursday, March 16 and exiting on Sunday, March 19 when Hickory Point Mall closes for business each of the two days. Taylor & Kovski Take Wins In Front Of Packed Lincoln Grandstands

$5 Night Produces Large Crowd And Great Field Of Cars The final night of the racing season at Lincoln IL Speedway was this past Friday, September 2 and a packed grandstand experienced one of the most successful nights in recent memory at the 1/4-mile dirt facility.  The $5 admission price drew the biggest crowd of the year, which also saw the best car count (98) in a good while at the Central Illinois facility. In Pro Late Model action, 18 drivers took the green with Springfield, IL driver, Guy Taylor, taking the lead early on.  Taylor rocketed into the top spot, while Midland City, IL driver Roben Huffman was marching forward.  Huffman worked his way from fourth to second by lap eight but never could get the run needed to race by Taylor.  Taylor and Huffman were followed by defending champion, Nick Bauman, Brandon Eskew, and Matt Taylor. $5 Grandstand Admission Announced For Lincoln IL Speedway Season Finale

This Friday’s Season Championship Night Features Six Classes It’s hard to believe but just one night remains on the 2016-schedule at Lincoln IL Speedway and it’s coming up this Friday, September 2.  The season championship finale will be a great night for fans to bring their whole family, friends, neighbors, and more, as admission through the front gate is just $5 per person.  Fans will see a full six division show plus kids will receive goody bags. Lincoln Speedway attempted a similar $5 fan appreciation night for August 12 but the event was rained out.  For that event, fans had to pick up vouchers from area businesses to receive the reduced admission.  At this week’s event, the vouchers are not necessary to receive the reduced admission.  The $5 admission night this Friday is to give fans thanks for their support during the first season of Track Enterprises promotions at the …

Pierce Takes Advantage Of Blown Tire To Claim $5,000 At Lincoln IL Speedway

Some of the best in dirt car racing converged on Lincoln IL Speedway on Thursday, August 25, for the Summer Nationals makeup of the Graue Chevrolet Showdown for a strong field of 32 Late Models in addition to the Summit National Modifieds, and B-Mods. The headline show of the night was the Graue Chevrolet Showdown for the UMP and MARS Super Late Models.  Ryan Unzicker and Brent Larson started up front with Summer Nationals frontrunners, Bobby Pierce and Jason Feger.  Action got hot and heavy right away with Unzicker leading lap one before Larson was able to scoot by.  Larson remained out front for the first four laps before Pierce used a three wide pass to head to the front.  The Oakwood, IL driver set the pace for the next eleven laps before Feger flew by.  Feger went on to set a blistering pace for a major portion of the …

POWRi Flying In To Lincoln Speedway And Macon Speedway This Weekend

National Midgets To Be Joined By National Micros The POWRi Lucas Oil National Midgets are set for the traditional doubleheader of racing, this coming Friday and Saturday, August 19/20.  Fans will be flocking to Lincoln Speedway on Friday night and Macon Speedway on Saturday night, many of which will make it a full weekend of racing by also attending the Illinois State Fair events in Springfield on Saturday and Sunday. Craziness will begin on Friday night at the friendly confines of Lincoln IL Speedway at the Logan County Fairgrounds.  There, the POWRi Lucas Oil National Midgets, POWRi Speedway Motors Micros, UMP Pro Late Models, and UMP Modifieds will be pacing the 1/4-mile semi banked dirt oval.
