Macon Speedway, Lincoln Speedway, and Big Ten Champions Honored This Past Weekend

(Decatur, IL) Drivers, teams, officials, and fans converged in Central Illinois this past weekend for the 2018 Champion Awards Banquet at the Decatur Conference Center & Hotel in Decatur, IL.  Top finishers from the previous season were awarded trophies and checks for the success that they had at Macon Speedway, Lincoln Speedway, and the Midwest Big Ten Series.  A large turnout was on hand, the food was great, and a good time was had as it was the first time the two tracks had a combined banquet. Taking home the most hardware was Springfield, IL driver, Guy Taylor.  The second generation driving veteran took top honors in the Pro Late Model division for the Big Ten Series, Macon Speedway, and Lincoln Speedway.  Taylor had one win and five top fives at Lincoln to go along with two Big Ten wins and six Macon victories. Macon Speedway & Lincoln Speedway Banquet Postponed To February 2nd

Officials Err On Side Of Caution With Impending Storm (Decatur, IL) Officials from Macon Speedway, Lincoln Speedway, and the Midwest Big Ten Series have made the decision to postpone the 2018 Awards Banquet that was scheduled for Saturday, January 19 at the Decatur Conference Center & Hotel.  The event has been rescheduled for Saturday, February 2 due to the incoming winter storm, which could create treacherous driving conditions. Speedway officials decided to make the decision for the safety of those who were planning to attend.  At the time of the decision, The Weather Channel was calling for a possible total of 6-11 inches of snow with steady 30 mile per hour winds and gusts as high as 50. “We really put a lot of time and effort into the planning for the season awards banquet so we were looking forward to having it this weekend.  That said, we have to …

Lincoln Speedway is proud to be one of only 50+ tracks & series in the nation to have the prestigious Contingency Connection RACER REWARDS program in 2018.  We are pleased to announce that we will offer nearly $100,000 in NATIONAL Contingency Connection RACER REWARDS in 2018.  Friday, May 18, is the first night in which drivers will have a chance to win the booklets and the second season in-a-row that Lincoln Speedway drivers have benefited from the program. A Look Back At The 2017 Lincoln Speedway Season

4 Champions To Be Crowned At January Banquet                 (Lincoln, IL) Lincoln Speedway, located in Lincoln, IL, had a highly successful 2017 season come to an end on September 1.  The track, in its 14th season, completed 11 out of 12 scheduled events with great weather, much improved crowds, and top notch racing on the 1/4-mile.  From Sprint cars to Hornets to a Summer Nationals event that set the record for biggest crowd at the track, the track had great racing from start to finish this year.  This year’s top point finishers will be honored during the January 20 banquet.                 The UMP Pro Late Models competed in nine out of the eleven events this season at the track and Springfield, IL’s Jake Little was the man to beat.  Little started the season with three finishes of 2nd and one 12th place finish but starting with the June 23 show, …

Tracks’ Loyal Drivers To Benefit From $100,000 Bonus Program   Lincoln Speedway and Macon Speedway officials are proud to be two of only 50+ tracks/series in the nation to have the prestigious Contingency Connection national grassroots RACER REWARDS program for their racers in 2017! Over 100 tracks and series applied to participate in the program but Lincoln and Macon were chosen because of the importance we place on our weekly racing program.   We are pleased to announce that we will offer in upwards of $100,000 in NATIONAL Contingency Connection RACER REWARDS in 2017, at each track! Macon & Lincoln Speedway Car Show This Weekend At Hickory Point Mall

                (Macon, IL 03-16-17) Drivers and teams throughout central Illinois are ready to show off their newly painted rides this coming weekend at Hickory Point Mall in Forsyth, IL.  After a near 20 year hiatus, the show returned to the mall last March.  The Macon and Lincoln Speedway event is scheduled for this Friday-Sunday, March 17-19.                 The show will be three days long with cars entering on Thursday, March 16 at 9:00 PM and exiting on Sunday, March 19 at 5:00 PM.  Track Enterprises will also have a booth set up, handing out info including pocket schedules for their special events in addition to Macon, Lincoln, and the Terre Haute Action Track.  UMP Memberships will be on sale in addition to a signup box for a chance to win Macon Speedway and Lincoln Speedway season opener tickets.                 The show is a great benefit to those who like to …
