Pozsgai Takes 305 Sprint Checkers In Front Of Hometown Fans

Large Fields Of Cars Race On Lincoln Speedway’s Second Night (Lincoln, IL) Fan appreciation night had a large turnout of fans and drivers this past Friday, April 26 at Lincoln Speedway.  The night, presented by Kitchen Cooked Chips, had plenty of great races with a home favorite ending up in victory lane during the night’s Sprint car feature. In the first of two appearances this season for the 305 Winged Sprint Cars, Lincoln, IL driver, Max Pozsgai jumped out front early on in the 18-lap feature.  Pozsgai, who grew up in Lincoln, was the fan favorite coming into the event.  Pozsgai started on the pole of the feature event, after garnering the most passing points in the heat races.  He didn’t have a cakewalk in the feature, as Robbie Standridge followed closely, in fact, looking to make a move on a couple of occasions.  In the end, though, Pozsgai won …

Discounted Admission, $1 Dogs, $2 Beers On Tap For Lincoln Speedway

Fan Appreciation Night To See Sprint Cars & Four Other Classes (Lincoln, IL) Lincoln Speedway is set for its second night of racing this coming Friday, April 26.  The night will be a great one for fans, as grandstand admission is just $10 per person with kids 11 and under free.  In addition, $1 hot dogs will be sold in the concession stand and $2 beers will be sold in the pavilion. On track action will be led by the first of two appearances this season for the 305 Winged Sprint Cars. Final Weekend Of Testing Before Season Starts At Central IL Tracks

Macon Speedway & Lincoln Speedway Have Testing Scheduled (Macon, IL) The 2019 racing season is just about to go green on Macon Speedway in Macon, IL as well as Lincoln Speedway in Lincoln, IL.  For teams and drivers, this will be the final weekend of testing before the season opens up next week. On Saturday, April 6, Macon Speedway will be opening the pits at 11:00 AM with on track testing from 12:00-4:00 PM.  Drivers from all divisions that compete during the season at the track are invited to attend.  Pit admission is $20, while grandstand admission is free. On Sunday, April 7, Lincoln Speedway has a testing session scheduled from 3:30-7:00 PM with pits opening at 2:30.  Much like Macon, the practice is open to all divisions that compete during the course of the season at the track.  Pit admission is also $20 per person, while grandstands are free. Lincoln Speedway Loses Another Test-And-Tune Due To Weather

One Final Test Added For Sunday, April 7 (Lincoln, IL) Heavy rains over the last 36 hours have again put a damper on outdoor activities everywhere, including the Saturday, March 30 test-and-tune that was scheduled for Lincoln Speedway, in Lincoln, IL.  It’s the second straight practice type event that has been canceled to start the 2019 season.  One final test has been added for next Sunday, April 7 at the track. In addition to the one final test that is scheduled for Lincoln, two more test-and-tunes remain on the schedule for Macon Speedway, Sunday, March 30 and Saturday, April 6.  Pit admission is $20, while grandstand admission is free.
