Test & Tune Days Next For Central Illinois Race Tracks

Macon Speedway & Lincoln Speedway Set For Weekend Practice   (Macon, IL) After a successful Hickory Point Mall Race Car Show this past weekend, drivers in Central Illinois are getting set for their first on track activity, Saturday and Sunday, March 23-24, with test and tune days at Macon Speedway and Lincoln Speedway. Drivers and teams use the days to fine tune their cars, fill out their registration sheets, and get comfortable back behind the wheel after a long winter.   Macon Speedway will open the pits this Saturday, March 23 at 11:00 AM and have cars on track from 12:00 noon to 4:00 PM. Cars, of any division, that compete at Macon Speedway, are welcome. Macon & Lincoln Speedway Car Show This Weekend At Hickory Point Mall

Tickets To Be Given Away In Open Drawings                 (Macon, IL 03-14-19) Drivers and teams throughout central Illinois are ready to show off their newly painted rides this coming weekend at Hickory Point Mall in Forsyth, IL.  The show is back for a fourth straight year, after a near 20 year hiatus.  The Macon and Lincoln Speedway event is scheduled for this Friday-Sunday, March 15-17.                 The show will be three days long with cars entering on Thursday, March 14 at 9:00 PM and exiting on Sunday, March 17 at 5:00 PM.  Track Enterprises will also have a booth set up, handing out info including pocket schedules for their special events in addition to Macon, Lincoln, and the Terre Haute Action Track.  UMP Memberships will be on sale in addition to a signup box for a chance to win Macon Speedway and Lincoln Speedway season opener tickets.                  The show …

Macon Speedway, Lincoln Speedway, and Big Ten Champions Honored This Past Weekend

(Decatur, IL) Drivers, teams, officials, and fans converged in Central Illinois this past weekend for the 2018 Champion Awards Banquet at the Decatur Conference Center & Hotel in Decatur, IL.  Top finishers from the previous season were awarded trophies and checks for the success that they had at Macon Speedway, Lincoln Speedway, and the Midwest Big Ten Series.  A large turnout was on hand, the food was great, and a good time was had as it was the first time the two tracks had a combined banquet. Taking home the most hardware was Springfield, IL driver, Guy Taylor.  The second generation driving veteran took top honors in the Pro Late Model division for the Big Ten Series, Macon Speedway, and Lincoln Speedway.  Taylor had one win and five top fives at Lincoln to go along with two Big Ten wins and six Macon victories. Macon Speedway & Lincoln Speedway Banquet Postponed To February 2nd

Officials Err On Side Of Caution With Impending Storm (Decatur, IL) Officials from Macon Speedway, Lincoln Speedway, and the Midwest Big Ten Series have made the decision to postpone the 2018 Awards Banquet that was scheduled for Saturday, January 19 at the Decatur Conference Center & Hotel.  The event has been rescheduled for Saturday, February 2 due to the incoming winter storm, which could create treacherous driving conditions. Speedway officials decided to make the decision for the safety of those who were planning to attend.  At the time of the decision, The Weather Channel was calling for a possible total of 6-11 inches of snow with steady 30 mile per hour winds and gusts as high as 50. “We really put a lot of time and effort into the planning for the season awards banquet so we were looking forward to having it this weekend.  That said, we have to …

Macon Speedway & Lincoln Speedway 2018 Banquet Date & Location Announced

Big Ten Series To Also Celebrate At January 19 Event (Macon, IL) With the 2018 racing season in the rear view mirror and drivers looking ahead to 2019, officials from the Track Enterprises office have announced the awards banquet date for Macon Speedway as well as Lincoln Speedway.  This year’s ceremony will include both tracks as well as the three Midwest Big Ten Series. The event will be held on Saturday, January 19, 2019 at the Decatur Conference Center & Hotel. On the Lincoln Speedway side, Guy Taylor, of Springfield, IL, claimed this year’s Pro Late Model championship. Brian Lynn, of Mason City, IL, edged his son, Austin, in a tight battle for this year’s Modified championship.  In the Nutech Seed DII Midgets by Bailey Chassis class, Mason City’s Andy Baugh will take top honors.  In the Hornet class, Decatur, IL driver, Jeremy Reed, took the championship. IT IS BRANDT Five Buck Night Season Championship Finale RACE DAY

The final night of racing of 2018 is upon us and so far this season has brought us some fantastic racing all season long and sees some tight point battles get decided tonight, including a father/son battle in the Modifieds where son Austin leads his dad Brian Lynn by just 4 points and Guy Taylor leads former Pro Crate Late Model track champion Roben Huffman by just 8 points. Also in action are the Sportsman, the Midwest Big Ten Series Street Stocks, DII Midgets by Nutech Seed, and the Hornets. On Brandt Season Championship Finale Night, the price to get in is just $5. It is a way to thank all of our great fans who have supported Lincoln Speedway this 2018 season which has been one of the best in the 15 year history of the track.
