Tony Stewart And Arctic Cat All Stars To Visit Illinois This Weekend

(Macon, IL) – Tony Stewart’s Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions are turning their attention back to the Central Time Zone, this time ready to take part in a trio of programs in areas of central Illinois and eastern Iowa for the first and only time in 2017. The visits include Lincoln Speedway on Friday night and Macon Speedway on Saturday night.  Both nights, three-time NASCAR Cup Series champion, Tony Stewart, will be racing with the All-Stars.  “America’s Series” will visit three different facilities during the trek west, two in the Land of Lincoln and one just across the Mississippi River in eastern Iowa, all of which awarding $5,000 top prizes. Seavey Takes POWRi SPEED Week Finale Sunday At Lincoln

Tony Stewart & All Star Sprints Come To Town On Friday  Lincoln, IL – Logan Seavey, the leading candidate for not only the POWRi Lucas Oil National Midget League Rookie of the Year, but also a contender for the championship, captured his first career victory with the league at Lincoln Speedway in the fifth and final night of the 2017 POWRi Illinois SPEED Week. Starting in the 12th position, the Sutter, California native carefully crept his way towards the front, almost appearing out of nowhere to the top three a little past halfway. Trailing Michael Pickens, Tucker Klaasmeyer, and Brad Loyet after a late race caution, Seavey dispatched of Klaasmeyer after Loyet moved into second.  Moving past Loyet, Seavey set his sights on the Auckland, New Zealand driver for the lead. POWRi Illinois SPEED Week Up Next For Macon & Lincoln Speedways                 (Macon, IL) With the Fifth Annual Illinois SPEED Week on the horizon, fans and teams are hoping that Mother Nature plays nicely after a wet start to 2017 throughout the Midwest.  Set to be bigger than ever, the Fifth Annual Illinois SPEED Week will host racing from the POWRi Lucas Oil National Midget League, POWRi Lucas Oil Division II Midget League, and the POWRi Speedway Motors 600cc Outlaw Micro League.  The POWRi show will be heading to Macon Speedway this coming Saturday, June 3 and then to Lincoln Speedway on Sunday, June 4 for the SPEED Week Championship Finale.                 New to the Illinois SPEED Week schedule, the Dirt Oval at Route 66 in Joliet, Illinois will be featured as the opener on Wednesday, May 31st.  Thursday, June 1st the three divisions will make a short drive south …

Rain Cancels May 19 Event At Lincoln Speedway

Track Now Preparing For Huge June Events                 (Lincoln, IL) For the first time in 2017, Mother Nature rained on Lincoln Speedway’s parade, as the May 19 Super Late Model Shootout for the Midwest Big Ten Super Late Models has been canceled.  UMP Modifieds, Midwest Big Ten Street Stocks, POWRi DII Midgets Presented By Nutech Seed, and UMP Hornets were also scheduled.  Several dates are being considered for possibly rescheduling the event.                 With the May 19 rainout, track officials are now preparing for two huge events early during the month of June.  The first comes up on Sunday, June 4 as the POWRi Lucas Oil National Midgets will be running their championship night of Speedweek at the track.  Joining the quick and nimble racers will be the POWRi Speedway Motors National Micros, POWRi Lucas Oil DII Midgets presented by Nutech Seed, UMP Pro Late Models, and UMP  Modifieds.  It …

Midwest Big 10 Super Late Models Ready For Friday Night

(Lincoln, IL) The Midwest Big Ten Super Late Models have a pair of events under their belt in 2017 and event #3 is set for this Friday night, May 19, at Lincoln Speedway. Trenton, IL driver, Michael Kloos, leads a talented list of drivers in the Super Late Model group heading into another doubleheader weekend for the series. Four other divisions of action will fill Friday night’s card. The Midwest Big Ten Series Super Late Models opened up at Quincy Raceway on May 7 with Gordy Gundaker claiming the top prize. The tour then traveled to Belle-Clair Speedway last Friday night for a raindated event. There, it was current point leader, Michael Kloos, taking the top prize. Racing Excites Packed Grandstand At Lincoln Speedway

305 Sprint Cars Steal The Show In Only Visit                 (Lincoln, IL) Racing was fast and furious this past Friday night, May 5 at Lincoln Speedway.  With a packed grandstand full of racefans, taking advantage of Five Buck night at the track,  a great show of 305 Sprint Cars, UMP Pro Late Models, UMP Modifieds, POWRi Lucas Oil DII Midgets presented by Nutech Seed, and UMP Hornets were on the card.                 The 305 Sprint Cars, making their only scheduled appearance of the season, put on a stellar show.  With 18 cars pitside, the feature was filled with drivers eager to get into Lincoln victory lane.  The race was wild, starting early in the event, with Nathan Charron and Jarrod Schneiderman putting on a great show up front.  The two were racing hard and swapped the lead on a couple of occasions with Charron getting back out front by the …
