Lynn, Daugherty, & Baugh Take Lincoln Victories On All-Star Sprint Night

While Sheldon Haudenschild took the Arctic Cat All Star Circuit Of Champions victory on Friday night, the other three Lincoln Speedway divisions put on a great show for the large crowd in the house. In the UMP Pro Late Model class, Cory Daugherty started up front and built a sizable advantage early on against a strong 16-car field.  With less than five to go, however, things really started to heat up and brought fans to the edges of their seats.  As Daugherty was closing on some slower traffic, the rest of the top five was closing on him.  With just a couple laps to go, the lead battle was hot with defending division champion, Nick Bauman and Jake Little looking for a way around him.  In the end, though, it was the Blue Mound, IL driver fending off the strong advances and racing to his first Pro Late Model win …

Speedway victory lane – Jason Brown Photo Credit) Sheldon Haudenschild Earns First Ever Arctic Cat All Star Win at Lincoln Speedway; Weekend action resumes at Wilmot Raceway LINCOLN, Illinois (May 20, 2016) – For the second time in as many starts, Wooster, Ohio’s Sheldon Haudenschild earned a trip to Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions victory lane, this time during a first ever appearance at the Lincoln Speedway in Lincoln, Illinois. Haudenschild took advantage of a lap-17 restart to earn his position at the front of the field, driving around pole sitter Parker Price-Miller on a rubbered-up racing surface to clinch a second consecutive, $5,000, Arctic Cat All Star payday. NASCAR’s Wallace Working To Stop Bollinger’s Streak At Lincoln Speedway

(Wallace/Bollinger Photo Courtesy Of Rocky Ragusa) Modifieds Part Of All Star Sprint Show Friday Night Lincoln IL Speedway is the site for the Tony Stewart owned Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions on Friday, May 20.  Fans, though, will not be overlooking the highly popular Midwest Technical Institute UMP Modified division, which will be racing as well.  Many will be watching to see if Kewanee, IL driver, Ray Bollinger, can keep his unbeaten streak alive.  Others will have their eyes glued to NASCAR personality, Kenny Wallace, as he tries to end Bollinger’s streak at three. Tony Stewart’s Arctic Cat All Star Circuit Of Champions Set For Lincoln Speedway

Series Making Only Illinois Appearance This Friday Night Lincoln Speedway in Lincoln, IL, is preparing for its biggest winged sprint car show, possibly ever, this coming Friday night, May 20.  The date marks the only Illinois visit in 2016 for the Tony Stewart owned Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champion sprint cars.  It will be a great night for all racing fans, as the UMP Pro Late Models, UMP Midwest Technical Institute Modifieds, and POWRi/Illini D-II Midgets Presented By Nutech Seed will also be in action.                 Coming into Friday’s event at Lincoln, veteran open wheel star, Dale Blaney, of Hartford, Ohio leads the standings, claiming wins at Attica Raceway Park and Port Royal Speedway.  Blaney has also taken top fives at Wayne County and Selensgrove with a top ten at Bedford.  Blaney will be one of the favorites, no doubt, at the Lincoln Speedway event. Lincoln Speedway Prepares For Huge Friday, May 20 Sprint Car Event

Tony Stewart’s Arctic Cat All Star Circuit Of Champions Headed To Central Illinois                 Winged sprint car fans throughout Illinois and beyond have had Friday, May 20 marked on their calendars since the 2016-Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions schedule was announced.  This year’s schedule includes an Illinois date and that race is coming up at Lincoln IL Speedway at the Logan County Fairgrounds.  Joining one of the longest running car organizations will be the UMP Pro Late Models, UMP Midwest Technical Institute Modifieds, and the POWRi/Illini D-II Midgets Presented By Nutech Seed. NASCAR driver, Tony Stewart, purchased the series from Guy Webb one year ago, becoming the fourth owner of the 46-year old series.  This year, the tour has already made visits in Florida, Ohio, and Pennsylvania with races in Wisconsin, Michigan, Indiana, and New York also scheduled.  The Illinois visit is the first in many years for …
