Family Sunday Funday Ready For Green Sunday

Lincoln Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram Presenting Fun For Kids And Racing (Lincoln, IL) Sunday will be a great day for kids and adults alike, at Lincoln Speedway, as Lincoln Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram presents Family Sunday Funday.  In addition to the great racing action, which is a staple at the ¼-mile facility, kids will get the additional joys of a bounce house, face painting, and Sally the Clown and balloon artist.  It will be a fun night out for the whole family. MOWA 410 Winged Sprint Cars Ready For Final 2018 Lincoln Speedway Appearance

High Flying Cars Joined By Three Classes Of Racing (Lincoln, IL) In a short turnaround between races, the Built Ford Tough MOWA 410 Winged Sprint cars are set to be the highlight of a Friday night, July 13 show at Lincoln Speedway.  Filling out the Lincoln Courier night classes will be the Midwest Big Ten Series Pro Late Models, Modifieds, and Nutech Seed DII Midgets By Bailey Chassis. Leading the standings in sprint car competition is Bethalto, IL driver Jacob Patton.  Patton has a comfortable 71 point advantage on Mike Terry, Jr. heading into the event.  Joe B Miller is third, while Justin Peck, and Brinton Marvel complete the top five.  Seven nights of racing have been completed on this year’s tour, including one at Lincoln on June 1 which drew an outstanding field of 35 cars. Central Illinois Drivers Lead Summer Nationals Into Lincoln Speedway Monday

Late Model Championship Race A Tight One                 (Lincoln, IL) The grueling Summer Nationals Hell Tour begins its final week of competition Monday night at Lincoln Speedway, the final night for fans to catch the series in Illinois, this year.  Monday’s event is one of the final six to determine a Summer Nationals champion and the two man race at the top happens to be between to Central Illinois drivers.                  The tight battle heading into the final week is between Chatham, IL driver, Brian Shirley, and Moweaqua, IL’s Shannon Babb.  Babb dominated the first part of this year’s Summer National tour, while Shirley has been the man as of late.  Babb has claimed five wins to Shirley’s two, however, Shirley has been slightly more consistent, helping him to a slight edge.  Their championship race could easily be decided on the last lap of the last race this week, which makes the Monday event at Lincoln …

Summer Nationals Event At Lincoln Speedway Postponed To July 9

Late Afternoon Rainfall Proved To Be Too Much             (Lincoln, IL) Despite an abysmal Sunday forecast, the weather was beautiful all morning and most of the afternoon at Lincoln Speedway, in Lincoln, Illinois.  Unfortunately, the forecast ended up being right as a wave of rain that came through around 5:30 and proved to be too much, forcing the postponement of the Graue Chevrolet Showdown.  Much to the delight of fans, the event has been rescheduled for Monday, July 9 at the ¼-mile dirt track.             The pits were filling up with cars before the rainfall hit the area.  On schedule were the Summer National Late Models, Summit Modifieds, and the POWRi Lucas Oil National Midgets.  The make-up event on July 9 will be very similar, featuring the Late Models and Modifieds but the Midgets will be replaced by B-Mods.             Wristbands that were purchased for grandstand entry as well as pit passes can be turned in at the Monday, July 9 event …
