Macon Speedway & Lincoln Speedway POWRi Speedweekend Events Postponed

(Macon, IL) The much anticipated events for the POWRi Lucas Oil National Midget League Speedweekend have officially called off for the weekend. The tour was scheduled to open the three day race weekend on Friday night at Jacksonville Speedway, followed by stops at Macon Speedway Saturday night and Lincoln Speedway Sunday. All three events have been postponed due to continuous wet weather throughout the Midwest. Officials will be working on possible rescheduling of POWRi Speedweek over the next couple of days. The popular Illinois events were originally set for early June but the COVID-19 pandemic kept those from happening. Information on potential reschedule dates will be posted as soon as they are confirmed. Macon Speedway will be back in action on Saturday, August 8 with Air King Night. ILLINOIS MIDGET SPEED WEEKEND COMING NEXT WEEK

Belleville, IL. (07/19/2020) Quickly transforming into a marquee event on the POWRi calendar, the SPEED WEEKEND is looking promising. A thrilling three-race swing throughout the state of Illinois, the 2020 SPEED WEEKEND is only one week away from action with the POWRi Lucas Oil National Midget League and the POWRi Engler Machine & Tool Micro Sprint League. From Jacksonville Speedway to Lincoln Speedway, the teams will be tested across three nights at three unique tracks as they travel through the state of Illinois. It all begins on Friday, July 31 at Jacksonville Speedway. The ¼ mile dirt track is located on the Morgan County Fairgrounds in Jacksonville, IL. Rico Races To Another MOWA Win At Lincoln Speedway

(Lincoln, IL) Lincoln Speedway was back at it again this past Friday night, July 17 as the Built Ford Tough MOWA Sprint Cars delivered by Morrow Brothers made their only appearance of the year. 30 stout sprint car competitors were pitside in addition to racing from five other divisions. Paul Nienhiser, the 2019 MOWA champion led lap one of the 25-lap feature event. The driver everyone had their eyes on was California wheelman, Rico Abreu, who came from the back of his heat race to claim victory. In the feature, Abreu took the top spot from Nienhiser on lap number two before yellow waved for the first time. As the race wore on, Abreu worked traffic and Nienhiser closed to challenge. MOWA Sprint Cars To Open 2020 Season Friday Night At Lincoln Speedway

Rico Abreu Looking For Second Straight Win At Track (Lincoln, IL) After a long wait, the Built Ford Tough MOWA Sprint Cars presented by Morrow Brothers are finally ready to get their 2020 season underway. The popular tour will race for the first time in 2020, this Friday, July 17 at Lincoln Speedway, in Lincoln, IL. The track’s weekly classes will also be in action. Last season, Paul Nienhiser claimed the point championship for the MOWA Sprints, while Lincoln, IL’s Cory Bruns was second in the standings. Ewing & Diveley Among Top Lincoln Speedway Winners Friday

(Lincoln, IL) For the fifth Friday night in-a-row, entertainment was on center stage at the Logan County Fairgrounds ¼-mile dirt track, Lincoln Speedway. Another strong turnout of cars put on a great show for the fans in the stands. The most exciting feature of the night came from the DIRTcar Pro Late Models. 17 drivers took the green flag with Jose Parga leading the way for the early laps. Teammate Dakota Ewing was pressuring up front and took the lead away on lap five. Parga ran in the top five until he spun while trying to pass a lap car in turn one, on lap eleven.
