Rico Races To Another MOWA Win At Lincoln Speedway

(Lincoln, IL) Lincoln Speedway was back at it again this past Friday night, July 17 as the Built Ford Tough MOWA Sprint Cars delivered by Morrow Brothers made their only appearance of the year. 30 stout sprint car competitors were pitside in addition to racing from five other divisions. Paul Nienhiser, the 2019 MOWA champion led lap one of the 25-lap feature event. The driver everyone had their eyes on was California wheelman, Rico Abreu, who came from the back of his heat race to claim victory. In the feature, Abreu took the top spot from Nienhiser on lap number two before yellow waved for the first time. As the race wore on, Abreu worked traffic and Nienhiser closed to challenge. Ewing & Diveley Among Top Lincoln Speedway Winners Friday

(Lincoln, IL) For the fifth Friday night in-a-row, entertainment was on center stage at the Logan County Fairgrounds ¼-mile dirt track, Lincoln Speedway. Another strong turnout of cars put on a great show for the fans in the stands. The most exciting feature of the night came from the DIRTcar Pro Late Models. 17 drivers took the green flag with Jose Parga leading the way for the early laps. Teammate Dakota Ewing was pressuring up front and took the lead away on lap five. Parga ran in the top five until he spun while trying to pass a lap car in turn one, on lap eleven. Back to green, it was Ewing and Brandon Eskew putting on some top notch entertainment at the front of the pack. Slidejob after slidejob, the two drivers were racing hard for the lead. Lynn, Johnson, Eskew, & Vanapeldoorn Claim Holiday Wins At Lincoln Speedway

(Lincoln, IL) For the fourth night in a row, Lincoln Speedway was back at it for racing action at Logan County Fairgrounds. The July 3rd event featured not only racing but fireworks as well and neither disappointed. The open competition Midgets were on hand for the first time in 2020. Drivers from six different states were represented, with Emerson Axsom of Franklin, IN leading the first six laps. On lap seven, St. Peters, MO driver Sam Johnson moved into the top spot to pace the field in the 20-lap event. The three car battle at the front of the field also included Central Illinois driver, Jake Neuman. The last ten laps of the race went without a caution flag and Johnson raced to the victory.  Axsom, Neuman, Mitchell Davis, and Kyle Simon completed the top five. The show of the night arguably came in the 20-lap DIRTcar Modified feature event. …

Bollinger Wins Second In-A-Row At Lincoln Speedway

(Lincoln, IL) For the third straight weekend, Lincoln Speedway was back at it for some great dirt track racing at the Logan County Fairgrounds, in Lincoln, IL. Five divisions were on track, headlined by 24 cars in the DIRTcar Modifieds. Carter Sinkhorn and Austin Lynn brought the 23-car Modified field to the green flag for the 20-lap feature event with Lynn racing into the early lead. Last week’s winner at Lincoln and Spoon River, Ray Bollinger looked fast early, running about one lane off the bottom. On lap five, Bollinger made his move to the outside and shot into the lead. A few laps later, Ken Schrader moved into the second spot and set his sights on Bollinger, but down the stretch it was easy to see that the Kewanee, IL driver was too fast for anyone else in the field. Action Thrills Fans On Night #2 At Lincoln Speedway

(Lincoln, IL) Another great turnout of racecars and fans were on hand for the second night of the 2020 season, this past Friday, June 19 at Lincoln Speedway. Six divisions of action put on another great show, headlined by the first visit of the 305 Sprint Cars. In the 18-lap 305 Sprint Car Feature, Garrett Duff, of Weldon, IL, took the lead from the pole position. Behind him, Robbie Standridge, of Springfield, IL, was running the top of the track mounting a challenge for the top spot. Down the stretch, plenty of side-by-side action was taking place but Duff was too tough and held on for the victory. Standridge, Max Pozsgai, Jeff Wilke, and Tyler Duff completed the top five. Parga Claims Win Over Stacked Pro Late Model Field At Lincoln Speedway

(Lincoln, IL) Lincoln Speedway, located at the Logan County Fairgrounds in Lincoln, IL waved the green on the 2020 racing season. The pits had a stellar field of cars, while the seating in the stands was limited for proper social distancing. The DIRTcar Pro Late Models had a stacked field of 25 cars sign up to race. After qualifying, three heats, and a b-main, the 20-car field was set for the feature event. The 20-lap race was a good one, with good side-by-side action throughout. Jake Little led the first couple laps before Jose Parga was able to pull of a clean slider in turn two to take the top spot. The race stayed green, almost to the end before a late race caution bunched everyone back up. Down the stretch, Parga was able to hold off Little’s advances, while Aaron Heck, Dakota Ewing, and Brandon Eskew completed the top …
