Macon Speedway & Lincoln Speedway 2018 Banquet Date & Location Announced

Big Ten Series To Also Celebrate At January 19 Event (Macon, IL) With the 2018 racing season in the rear view mirror and drivers looking ahead to 2019, officials from the Track Enterprises office have announced the awards banquet date for Macon Speedway as well as Lincoln Speedway.  This year’s ceremony will include both tracks as well as the three Midwest Big Ten Series. The event will be held on Saturday, January 19, 2019 at the Decatur Conference Center & Hotel. On the Lincoln Speedway side, Guy Taylor, of Springfield, IL, claimed this year’s Pro Late Model championship. Brian Lynn, of Mason City, IL, edged his son, Austin, in a tight battle for this year’s Modified championship.  In the Nutech Seed DII Midgets by Bailey Chassis class, Mason City’s Andy Baugh will take top honors.  In the Hornet class, Decatur, IL driver, Jeremy Reed, took the championship. IT IS BRANDT Five Buck Night Season Championship Finale RACE DAY

The final night of racing of 2018 is upon us and so far this season has brought us some fantastic racing all season long and sees some tight point battles get decided tonight, including a father/son battle in the Modifieds where son Austin leads his dad Brian Lynn by just 4 points and Guy Taylor leads former Pro Crate Late Model track champion Roben Huffman by just 8 points. Also in action are the Sportsman, the Midwest Big Ten Series Street Stocks, DII Midgets by Nutech Seed, and the Hornets. On Brandt Season Championship Finale Night, the price to get in is just $5. It is a way to thank all of our great fans who have supported Lincoln Speedway this 2018 season which has been one of the best in the 15 year history of the track. Lincoln Speedway Season Ends Friday With Five Dollar Admission

Season And Track Champions To Be Determined On Brandt Night (Lincoln, IL) It’s hard to believe but the 2018 season is set to come to an end this coming Friday, August 31 at Lincoln Speedway, in Lincoln, IL.  The year has seen some great racing with side-by-side action, slide jobs, rivalries, and tight point battles for the championship.  Fans will have their final chance to check it all out this Friday night and admission to the grandstands is just five dollars as part of the BRANDT sponsored event. One of the busiest motorsports weekends in Central Illinois takes the first green flag of the weekend tonight at Lincoln Speedway as we motor into the Illinois State Fair Racing Weekend. On tap at the 1/4 mile semi-banked speed plant are the 410 Non-Winged Sprint Cars known for tremendous 2 and 3 wide racing and spectacular wheel stands. Round 9 of the Midwest Big Ten Series UMP Pro Crate Late Models brings in a tight point chase for the series title as well as a tight track championship fight. The track points are a dead heat in the Modifieds between father Brian and son Austin Lynn and should feature high excitement and great racing with them and a stout field of cars. Lincoln Speedway Set To Begin Busy State Fair Race Weekend

410 Non Wing Sprints To Headline Friday Night Racing (Lincoln, IL) This weekend is, as always, a racefan’s dream in Central Illinois.  With four huge events in three days, fans from all over the country make this a vacation destination.  It all begins on Friday night, August 17, at Lincoln Speedway, followed by two afternoons of racing at the Illinois State Fair, and a Saturday night of action at Macon Speedway.  At Lincoln, the 410 Non-Wing Sprint Cars headline a four division program. When it comes to Lincoln Speedway, Sprint Cars seem to be about the biggest draw, other than the Summer National event in July.  For the second year in-a-row, the 410 Non-Wing Sprint Cars will be the top division on the Friday card of State Fair race weekend.  It is an unsanctioned show, paying $1,200 to win and $150 to start. Great Racing In Recent Weeks At Lincoln Speedway

The last couple of shows at Lincoln Speedway have been top notch. Last night, we had 18 of the best Pro Late Model drivers and 18 of the best Modified drivers. The show was great! While we know the real fast cars don’t care a lot for the dice roll for an invert, last night proved why it can be a good thing. First, Ray Bollinger, started from sixth because of the invert and quickly sliced and diced his way through the field to the impressive victory in the Modifieds. The battle for second was a fun one to watch for many laps but Bollinger easily had them covered. Then in the Pro Lates, the veteran Guy Taylor led lap after lap as the battles throughout the field was fun to watch. Dakota Ewing, who started fifth, methodically raced his way toward the front.
