Super Late Models Heading To Lincoln Speedway

Friday’s Race Is One Of Two Visits This Season After a very successful season opener this past Friday, April 15, Lincoln Speedway is ready to step up the excitement even more this Friday, April 22.  On tap are the Super Late Models of the Midwest Big Ten Series.  It will mark one of just two visits this season from the Supers, with the other being the July 3 Summernationals/World Of Outlaws showdown. For the Midwest Big Ten Series, this will be the second event of 2016.  The first was at Belle-Clair Speedway on April 1, where over 25 Super Late Model competitors were on hand.  Taking the win that night was Chad Zobrist, while Michael Kloos, Andrew Johns, Brian Diveley, and Richard Frost finished off the top five.  Diveley will be one of the favorites this week, as he looks to defend his 2015 Big Ten championship and claim Friday’s …

​Opening Night Thriller At Lincoln Speedway

Up Next, Super Late Models It was a new era of entertainment at Lincoln IL Speedway this past Friday, April 15, as Track Enterprises, a racing promotion company from Macon, IL, took the reins of the 1/4-mile oval at the Logan County Fairgrounds.  The 13th season opener for the speedway was a thriller with solid car counts and great racing. The race of the night came in the UMP Pro Late Model class.  When the feature took the green, Springfield, IL driver Matt Taylor raced out front and into the lead.  The familiar red and yellow #24T led comfortably throughout a major portion of the 20-lap grind.  Lap-after-lap, 2015-point champion Nick Bauman followed several car lengths behind.  As the white flag waved, Bauman started to track him down.  As the pair exited turn four, Bauman dropped to the lowside, got great bite, and pulled off a thrilling win by inches.  …

Lincoln & Macon Speedways Set To Open Under Track Enterprise Banner A pair of Central Illinois racetracks are ready to take the green flag on their 2016 seasons this coming weekend.  Under beautiful skies and with 70+ degree temperatures, Lincoln Speedway in Lincoln, IL and Macon Speedway, in Macon, IL will be opening this coming weekend.  This year will mark the 13th season for Lincoln and the 71st for Mighty Macon.                 This year brings new promoters to Lincoln Speedway, as Track Enterprises takes the wheel under Bob Sargent, Drake Nelson, and Adam Mackey.  The trio also operate Macon Speedway, the Terre Haute Action track, and a large number of big events throughout the midwest that include ARCA, USAC, and other top series.  Macon Speedway features Tony Stewart, Kenny Wallace, and Ken Schrader as part owners in addition to Sargent. Lincoln IL Speedway Set For This Friday’s Door Buster

Track Enterprises To Open With 5 Divisions Of Entertainment                 Lincoln Speedway, a 1/4-mile dirt track in Lincoln, IL is set to open this coming Friday, April 15 under the guidance of Track Enterprises out of Macon, IL.  The company took the reins for promoting the facility during the offseason and announced an exciting special event schedule during this past offseason.  This year will mark the 13th year of racing at the Logan County Fairgrounds. This Friday night’s action includes four divisions under the UMP banner and rules, Pro Late Models, Modifieds, Street Stocks, and Hornets.  Also racing will be the Division II Midgets, under POWRi rules, and presented by Nutech Seed. Macon & Lincoln Speedway Competitors Set For Test & Tunes

Season Opening Weekend Just A Couple Weeks Away Drivers in central Illinois are looking forward to the start of the 2016-racing season and the next two weekends will be used to fine tune their machines at Macon and Lincoln Speedways, part of the Track Enterprises conglomerate.  Four different practice dates are set between the two tracks.                 At Macon Speedway, drivers will be on track on Saturday, April 2 and Sunday, April 10.  The Lincoln Speedway dates are scheduled for Sunday, April 3 and Saturday, April 9.  Drivers in Super Late Models, Pro Late Models, Modifieds, B-Mods, Sportsman, Street Stocks, Hornets, Midgets, Micros, and Sprint Cars are welcome to attend.
