Midgets Lead Five Action Packed Divisions To Lincoln Speedway Sunday

US92.7 Superstar County To Present Action (Lincoln, IL) POWRi Illinois SPEED Week took the green flag on Wednesday night, in Belleville, Illinois and did so with a great field of nearly 50 national midgets and 50 winged micros.  On Sunday night, five days of racing will come to an end and the champions will be crowned at Lincoln Speedway, in Lincoln, Illinois.  In between the bookend events of POWRi’s Sixth Annual Illinois SPEED Week will be visits to Brownstown, Illinois, Jacksonville, Illinois, and of course, Macon, Illinois.  Lincoln Speedway’s event is set for this Sunday, June 10, featuring a double-dose of action with the POWRi Lucas Oil National Midget League alongside the POWRi Speedway Motors 600cc Outlaw Micro League in addition to the POWRi Lucas Oil Regional Midget League, Big Ten Pro Late Models, and Modifieds. ​Sprint Cars Making First 2018 Lincoln Speedway Visit On Friday Night

Modifieds Running A 50-Lap Special                 (Lincoln, IL) This coming Friday, June 1, Lincoln Speedway will have a huge event featuring the Built Ford Tough 410 MOWA Sprint Cars, a 50-lap Modified special, Pro Late Models, and a combo event between the Midwest Street Stock Championship and Big Ten Street Stocks.  The Friday affair definitely has a little something for everyone.                 The DIRTcar Modifieds will co-headline the event with the Sprint cars and will run a 50-lap feature paying $1,500 to win.  The Modifieds always draw great fields of cars to Lincoln Speedway and with the additional pay, Friday should see a stellar field and a great race.  Currently, last year’s champion, Brandon Roberts, of Ashland, IL, leads the points after claiming last weekend’s feature event.  Perennial favorite, Brian Lynn, of Mason City and his son, Austin, are tied for second spot in the standings.  Mike Brooks and Jimmy Sinkhorn complete the top five.                 The Built …

Street Stock / B-Mod Update For This Weekend

UPDATE…Saturday, May 26 Info ATTN: Street Stocks & B-Mods While we have had a great amount of positive feedback on our Saturday night make-up race this week at Lincoln Speedway, we did have an oversight on a scheduling conflict with the Street Stocks. Therefore, we are NOT going to have Street Stocks this Saturday and will run DIRTcar Racing B-Mods instead. It will be the only visit of the DIRTcar B-Mods this season. The Midwest Big Ten Series Street Stocks will have their points awarded during a combined event next Friday, June 1 as part of the Midwest Street Stock Championship event. This Saturday’s event will have the Midwest Big Ten Series Super Late Models, Modifieds, B-Mods, NuTech Seed, LLC DII Midgets By Bailey Chassis Company, and Hornets. Lincoln Speedway Adds Make-Up Event This Saturday Night

Super Late Models Are Back With Four Other Classes                 (Lincoln, IL) This past Friday, May 18, Lincoln Speedway, in Lincoln, IL was blessed with a great field of racecars, including over 20 strong Midwest Big Ten Super Late Models.  The action was fast paced with the track getting racier and racier throughout the heats.  The features were going to be good, for sure.  Unfortunately, Mother Nature had other plans as rain set in.  The good news is, an additional event has just been added to the schedule for this coming Saturday night, May 26, at the ¼-mile dirt track.                 It’s a rare chance for a Saturday night event at the facility, as typically, a lot of other speedways are racing on that night.  This weekend, however, a number of tracks are off on Saturday night, giving Lincoln Speedway the opportunity for a make-up race.  That gives race fans …
